Health

(originally published as "quotation re: dis-ease and ramble")

"Disease is not caused by germs, toxins, viruses, excessive radioactivity, microbes, bacteria, or by any other physical agent. Such things are ever-present; thousands of them pass daily through every healthy human body. Such agents are only destructive when they do not pass through the human body but are retained instead.

There is only one reason why germs or toxins are retained in a human system: because present in that human system is an evil spirit. (Spark note -- don't bail out yet, this is explained shortly.) To the degree that an evil spirit is entertained and made welcome in an individual's life, his or her body will disease. This is a regulatory mechanism, designed to deprive destructive spirits of physical bodies.

Evil spirits are negative attitudes, destructive attitudes rooted in fear. Some of the more common evil spirits are resentment, anger, shame, guilt, anxiety, hatred, greed, revenge, jealousy. All thinly disguised forms of fear, their presence in a human system gives harmful physical agents something to attach themselves to."

Fascinating, eh? What say you? It took me years to really get the idea that dis-ease doesn't happen from "out there"-- so when I came upon this so blatantly stated, I was taken aback. Of course I wouldn't have used the term evil spirits lol but they may as well be I guess-- and it can sort of help to nail the little buggers to the wall and say hey I don't want to play that anymore... as long as we don't run about thinking they're really autonomous and going to take over against our will or something. :)

The piece in the book right before the above quotation was a little shocking so I didn't put it first, but I'm going to add it here now: "Conflict cannot exist where Truth is in _expression; it occurs only in the presence of dishonesty. Where truth is denied, self-destruct mechanisms go into effect. People get sick because they are sick of themselves; they die because they do not forgive."

A little harsh, but interesting, food for thought. Chris Griscom's words stick in my head: "Where there is no resistance, there is no harm." This is echoed by the above in my opinion: "Conflict cannot exist where Truth is in _expression." same same.

And what's the difference between me arguing with aspect-of-mySelf in physical reality and me arguing with myself in my head? Is there one? lol besides the conventional sanity regulations. Still creates resistance .. or, acknowledges resistance... and what is it that we're really resistant to? "underneath" it all. (truth be my guess)

And, it's interesting to apply this to other ideas besides health and dis-ease of the body.

These quotations are from a Ken Carey book I "stumbled across" (okay, synchronistically ran straight into, although I didn't realize what I had in my hot little hands when I took it home) at the Enid library, called _Vision_, from 1985. The chapter is called "The Great Separation." Right under my nose all this time, indeed very close on the shelves to the same copy of _Seth Speaks_ that got me really rolling with this multidimensional exploration years ago, but evidently I needed to really "get" the concepts in my mind before I could see them plain as day "out there." It's a pretty nifty little book, a little heavy on the Christian language and "service" motif but clearer in so many things than several others, my pov of course. For a little book it covers a lot.

The service thing... I mentioned because there's such a push all over the place for "being of service" when we're all already in service, constantly, automatically-- that's just the way things work. We align perfectly with everybody else aligned to same. When we change something we align with everybody aligned with that. ...is constant. my pov again. :) and the book helped me get my ideas of that ironed out, or acknowledged fully.

..for that alignment-with-others idea to work one must be standing in a place where "others" are separate... otherwise one could say we throw molecular costumes over those entities agreeing to play in our play, and when we do re-writes and change things, they just play along... and even then, "they" are "we"....... :)

Comments welcome.

If anybody has contact information for Ken or links, please let me know. :) thanks.
